We love a subtle wedding theme and this wedding was just the perfect example!! Sara and Hugo love books and so they included elements all throughout. Starting with the venue, the Darlington House, they had their first look in the library. Also the cutest first look ever, Hugo was just smitten!

The guest “book” was a library card catalogue where guests would write their well wishes on a card. Each of the tables were their favorite authors and guests could look at the “table of contents” to find their seats.

The day was absolutely beautiful starting with that first look, then enjoying the ceremony at a the beautiful Immaculata, and then the gorgeous decor at the Darlington House again. The flowers and cake were so pretty and they had an artist painting their reception live. They had wonderful speeches and so much fun dancing.

If you’ve followed us for a while, you know that we always LOVE getting to work weddings of siblings. We filmed Rosie’s brother and sister-in-law’s wedding a year before (right before the pandemic) and were supposed to do this wedding that same year. It was postponed but we finally got to celebrate a year later. My favorite thing about this is we were able to see Tom and Negin again and see their growing family!

Rosie has a son and Travis has a daughter so it was really special getting to see how they blended their family during the celebration. Their venue was really pretty and made for weddings. Their personal vows were beautiful and they are going to have a lovely life together with their kiddos. They had a super fun party and ended the night so fun by changing into Hawaiian outfits for their exit!

Cameron and Mariah had a beautiful small wedding in their parents’ backyard overlooking a beautiful gorge. We absolutely loved their personalized vows, they were so sweet and check out her veil, so lovely and sweet! Everyone was so nice at their event and all the details were just so adorable. It was so awesome getting to work with Nicole and Luke! We actually filmed her sister’s wedding and her brother’s wedding so it was so great to see everyone’s growing families! We also love working at Villa de Amore, a venue just perfect for weddings. Nicole and Luke had to wait such a long time to finally have their big day and it was just so beautiful. Their outfits are so dapper and I loved that during the cake cutting they did rock paper scissors to decide who would feed the other first. It was so great, something we’ve never seen before. Anna and Max had a beautiful micro wedding last year. Theirs is a perfect example of how having a first look doesn’t limit the emotions during the ceremony. It was so cool to see Max’s face during the ceremony even though he had already seen his bride earlier. This is also a great example of why video is so necessary for big and small weddings! Jon and Huli had a beautiful wedding day at an estate with their closest friends and family. I actually had the unique privilege of taking photos of the surprise proposal, which is fun since we don’t often do the photo side of things! Filming the wedding was a blast. They rented out a really neat house where the ceremony and reception were. They were both the sweetest and I loved how they did the “first look” where Jon turned around during the processional to see his bride coming down the aisle, definitely something new for us! The reception was wonderful and everyone had such a great time on the dance floor and at the donut bar. Hope you enjoy!
