Chandra + Jack – Intercontinental Wedding Film

Oh where to start with these two. This is the last wedding we filmed in 2019 and it was such a beautiful event. Now looking back, it feels so weird to see images of such a large wedding, oh boy do we miss events!! We cannot WAIT until things are back to normal.

Ok, back to Chandra and Jack! If they seem familiar, it’s because we filmed their love story video earlier in the year and then debuted it on the wedding day to all the wedding guests. It was so lovely to spend time working on that video and then also seeing them again on their wedding day.

Jack got ready at his awesome yellow house in Little Italy. Chandra had a wonderfully calm getting ready time with espresso, champagne and beautiful details. The two didn’t do a first look and instead opted to have Chandra come down the aisle at the beautiful church for the first look. The priest was so funny and not only had some wonderful things to say about the two but some funny quips as well.

After the ceremony they had a surprise mariachi performance for all the guests. Jack and Chandra enjoyed the performance for a while and then drove around town for some photos. Meanwhile the guests were enjoying a lovely cocktail hour overlooking the bay with live music and a gorgeous sunset.

The reception was at the beautiful Intercontinental in downtown San Diego. The decor was off the hook with the white flowers and black candles and all the greenery. There was live entertainment during dinner and then a surprise performance by Evelyn “Champagne” King, which was so awesome and fun and kicked off the rest of the night with all the dancing!

We hope you enjoy this wedding film 🙂

Negin + Tom – Camarillo Wedding Film

Negin and Tom had a wonderful wedding back in January. They had a small backyard micro wedding before micro weddings were all the rage! haha. Not two months after their wedding did the world shut down. But we were so thankful we were able to film some weddings before all the 2020 shutdown of events began.

Tom’s parents hosted this wonderful day at their home. My parents and Tom’s parents go waaaay back. My mom went to school with his mom and so it was really neat that we could be there with them to capture this incredible day. The two had a small wedding party, just Tom’s sister (we’ll be filming her wedding next!) and Tom’s best friend.

They had a first look at the museum nearby their house for some beautiful photo time and then they had their ceremony in the same park. At their ceremony they showed some videos that Negin’s family in Iran recorded for her since they weren’t able to make it. It was another foreshadow of events to come with virtual attendance! Tom’s dad officiated the ceremony and they walked Negin down the aisle since her parents couldn’t be there.

The cocktail hour and reception were back at Tom’s parents’ house. They had a tent set up in the back yard and it was such a wonderful set up. They had a wonderful set up of food, drinks and a fantastic dessert bar! I mean, churros, apple crisp, salted caramel brownie bites, come on!!

We really had a wonderful time up in Camarillo with these two lovely people on their special day. We wish them the best and hope you enjoy their wedding film!

Heather and Eric – Ramona Wedding Films

We have seriously been blessed with some of the best couples ever! We were so lucky to be working with this family again and we just loved catching up with the whole family. The venue was absolutely beautiful and Heather and Eric had the sweetest day.

The guys got ready in the cellar and the girls had a cabin for their getting ready time. I loved Heather’s hair piece (and it had to get sewn on to her head!!) and she decorated her getting ready room with her favorite quotes from Friends, so fun! And the guys enjoyed laughing together. After they got ready, Heather’s girls prayed for her and she was surprised by an out of town guest! They didn’t do a first look but they did hold hands around a corner to pray together, and Heather did a first look with her dad.

Their ceremony was in front of a beautiful huge oak tree. One of the bridesmaids played guitar and sang during the unity sand ceremony and the officiant had a lovely message for everyone. After the ceremony everyone went up to the cave for cocktail hour for yummy treats, drinks and games! It was a really warm day but everyone had an amazing time. Heather and Eric took amazing photos by the lake and through the vineyard.

The reception was so much fun! They had wonderful speeches and kept getting hints throughout the night about what their gifted honeymoon would be! The dancing was off the hook and all the guests danced for hours. They had a churro and ice cream station later on which was absolutely fabulous. And at the very end of the night they had a bubble exit for the send off. We hope you enjoy these two lovelies as much as we did!

Leslie + Jared – Prado San Diego Wedding

Leslie and Jared had such an incredible wedding day! They have been married for a while, have had three lovely children and finally got to have their big celebration! They all traveled down to San Diego from Alaska in January to escape the freezing temperatures and enjoy some lovely SD weather. They got to have a little family vacation and renew their vows at the same time!

They got ready at the U.S. Grant in downtown SD and the kids were so incredibly adorable. I loved how the boys were investigating all the makeup supplies and little boys in suits are always the cutest thing ever. Their daughter was so sweet as well and it was so fun seeing them be all excited about the day with their parents.

Leslie and Jared had a first look with each other and with the boys in front of the hotel, it was so cute and special. We all went to the Prado after that for photos and preparing for the ceremony. They held the ceremony inside the Prado and then flipped it during the cocktail hour into the reception space. It was so pretty. I LOVED the stationary. It was all beautiful watercolors that were themed to reflect where the couple lives in Alaska. All the table names/pictures were different animals and just so beautifully done. The flowers and cake were also amazing!

They had a sweet ceremony officiated by the friend who officiated their vows the first time as well and they had lovely personal vows that were so deep encompassing the last 6 years of their life together. The cocktail hour was so nice in the courtyard of the Prado with live music and amazing food. After the ceremony area was flipped into the reception area, the party started. The grand entrance was so fun and just got the energy started off right! They had a live band for the reception, and just so much fun energy for the whole night. They had so much fun. Hope you enjoy!!

From the couple: “I’m a pretty dumb guy and wedding videography hadn’t really registered in my brain as a thing until the missus and I started planning our big to do. I confess I was hesitant a bit at first . . .I have zero regrets. Videography is critical to capturing and holding onto the vibe of the big day. Jared and Danielle are a fun couple, so they know how to get the fun of the day into their work. Sometimes the fun is a glance between bridesmaids or a sideward remark from a groomsman. Along with the laughter they also capture the pauses, the silence when it’s most meaningful. The capture the environment, the friends, the family, the memory. There is no better team.”

Monica and Kristian – Immaculata Wedding

Monica and Kristian had a beautiful and amazing fun wedding this past fall. They got ready at the Hilton Mission Bay which is also where their reception was later. It was such a nice day with the coastal breeze flowing into the getting ready rooms. Monica was all smiles all day, laughing with her sisters and wedding party and the cutest little flower girl. After she got her dress on, she shared some special moments with her mom and dad. Monica and Kristian sent each other really sweet gifts and the guys all said wonderful things about Kristian.

Their ceremony was at the gorgeous Immaculata on the USD campus. They had a traditional Catholic ceremony and the priest was so entertaining! He actually sang the song Kung Fu Fighting during their ceremony and I have to say that is a first for us. It was so great. The two also handed out communion together which was also a first, but such a great way for the couple to greet their guests.

After their ceremony, they took some beautiful photos on the USD campus. The reception was back at the Hilton Mission Bay. The guests all joined cocktail hour overlooking the bay as the sun went down. Our favorite detail from cocktail hour was the names of the cocktails themselves! Anyone out there an Office fan? They not only used those names for their drinks, those are actually the names of their cats! They also had some live music during the cocktail hour and during dinner time.

They had invited a large amount of guests so they started out with a huge group photo after the grand entrance. Entertainment included a photobooth, wonderful speeches, and tons of dancing. They had a beautifully fun and joy filled day and we hope you enjoy their highlight film!
