Talin + John – Trump Golf Course Wedding

Wowza! This venue has the absolute best views! Talin and John had a Trump golf course wedding over the summer and once we saw the ceremony site we could tell why they liked it so much. First they got ready at a nearby hotel before they headed over to Trump golf course. The little girls were so cute getting ready and Talin and her mom had some sweet moments together as well. The bow on Talin’s dress was so pretty and John gave all his guys fun socks.

The guests took a nice walk down to the cliffs overlooking the ocean for the ceremony. The hexagonal archway was so pretty and the weather was just great. We loved the great things the officiant said and their personal vows were awesome as well. “As long as I’m with you, I’m home”, sooo sweet! It was also just really neat to see all their guests taking the long stroll to and from the ceremony, enjoying the weather.

After the ceremony, everyone took a second stroll back up to the main building. They enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawn out front and the beautiful couple got some really great photo time with the sun gong down. The reception hall was beautiful with the white flowers and gold and white cake. The reception was kicked off with the grand entrance and a choreographed dance. Then the band came out and it was super great. It was an 80’s cover band and they were just so much fun. I don’t think the dance floor was ever empty!

After all the events and dancing were over the couple had a grand exit through sparklers to cap off the night. It was such a beautiful day and such a fun night. I hope you enjoy!!

Chandra + Jack – Love Story

We had such a great time getting to know Chandra and Jack by filming their love story. It was debuted at their reception right before the grand entrance and it was so fun! I’ll be honest, I get a little nervous when a large group of people are about to watch our work, but there was so much cheering, it calmed my nerves. I am so glad everyone enjoyed it, but especially glad these two have something to enjoy for all time.

Congratulations you two!

Lauren + Barrett – Martin Johnson House

Lauren and Barrett started their day in the beautiful Hotel Del Coronado for their getting ready – and ended their day at the Martin Johnson House. There was a little excitement when we first arrived as the fire alarm went off several times! But once everyone realized it was a-ok, everyone got back to hanging out and getting ready. Lauren had such a unique and beautiful dress and we loved the head piece she wore! Barrett got ready with his guys and his son. It’s always pretty neat when we can include children in a couples’ wedding film. Once they were ready, we headed to the courtyard in the middle of the Hotel Del to do the first look. They were so cute, we absolutely loved their first look.

We all headed to the Martin Johnson house for their ceremony and reception. One of my favorite things about this venue is the beautiful cliff views and the hang gliders peacefully gliding through the air. The flowers and decor were gorgeous. I love the succulents and air plants interspersed with the fresh flowers and greenery. The ceremony was just lovely with some amazing words of advice from their officiant!

The two did some beautiful portraits on the edge of the cliff, a little too close for comfort for me, but I’m glad they did because the images are worth it! The guests enjoyed a beautiful spread for cocktail hour and the reception decor was just as beautiful as the ceremony! These two had just a beautiful wedding, we hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

We loved working with SidebySide Cinema. We are so glad that we chose them to capture all of the memories of our wedding. It was such a special moment to watch this back for the first time. Our wedding day went by so fast and it’s so wonderful to have this video to look back and remember the day. Danielle was extremely responsive and they were so easy to work with. It’s so important to hire a talented videographer for your wedding day and SidebySide Cinema will not disappoint you!

Noah Bar Mitzvah

We have worked with Noah’s family for years at their family and business events. We have enjoyed watching their family, especially their two youngest grow up! They are so sweet and their kids are so great as well. I even did a super fun video camp for the kids over the summer where they made a music video together!

Well Noah turned 13 as well this summer and had an amazing Bar Mitzvah celebration just like his brother did last year. Noah is in a band and so the theme was so fun. All the guests who arrived could notice the theme right away as they greeted bouncers at the door who grilled them before giving them their VIP pass, hand stamp, and “money” to spend at the merch table.

The decor was headphones and everything was red and blue. They had a wood fired pizza food truck and then a really fun food vendor that cooked food with blow torches! That was really clever and fun. PB&J and milk were tray passed too. When all the guests first arrived, they could get their hair spray painted or makeup done and they could play games with the DJ.

The most exciting part of the night was when Noah got up with his band and performed. The whole family even had a fun family performance, and then he also performed with the hired band as well. It was so fun and the crowd loved it! The rockstar theme was so on point throughout the whole night and all the kids and adults had so much fun.

We hope you enjoy!!

Wedding Favors

There are so many decisions big and small for weddings. One of those is favors. Then there is the choice of what favors to go with! Today I’m sharing a website where you can find so many really cute options for favors! They sent us some samples to check out for ourselves and they are really cute. I especially love the hugging bear salt and pepper shakers, and the LOVE magnets. Be on the lookout, you might find one of these things in your wedding film package!

Ana + Kevin – Hotel Del Coronado Wedding

Wow, what a beautiful Hotel Del Coronado wedding! Ana and Kevin had a smaller, more intimate wedding, looking over the water in gorgeous Coronado California. The two sealed their vows and their families (including each of their children) at a beautiful and intimate ceremony led by their friend. The flowers and welcome sign were so pretty, and the sign in book was so clever! It was a book about past love stories at Coronado, so cute! During the ceremony we got to hear a bit about how they met and fell in love. Their personal vows were so touching and emotion filled. They are also so incredibly fun! Ana and Kevin were all smiles all day and full of energy.

After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed signature cocktails on the beach while listening to a live guitarist jam away. Ana and Kevin had a super fun photo shoot for part of the time and then joined cocktail hour with their guests. The reception room was just gorgeous! The desserts, the lighting and the flowers were all just so pretty and tied the room together fabulously. And of course the view of the beautiful beach and sunset from the reception hall was the cherry on top.

The reception was full of fun fun fun. Ana’s daughter choreographed the first dance with a few different songs and styles of dancing. It was so fun and the crowd went wild. After the speeches and the other reception events, all the guests were on the dance floor all night long. This was such a fun crowd of people and we just had so much fun with Ana and Kevin at their Hotel Del Coronado wedding. We hope you enjoy this wedding film!

Brennan + Ryan – The Dana on Mission Bay

We had such a great time with Brennan and Ryan at their Dana on Mission Bay wedding! They are so fun, young and full of energy. There were a couple of really fun things they did at their getting ready time that we liked. Brennan had tattoos made up with Ryan’s face for the bachelorette party and she had some extras so she put one on right by the garter to surprise Ryan later. I can honestly say we have never seen this before! Brennan and Ryan shared letters with each other and Brennan took a shot with her dad. The kids included in the wedding were so adorable and fun too.

The two did not have a first look and so Ryan first saw his bride coming down the aisle for the first time. It was great to see how happy he was and I loved watching Brennan and her dad laughing together all the way down the aisle. Their colors were blues and purples and their ceremony was overlooking the San Diego Bay. They did a sand ceremony and were all smiles the whole time.

They had the most amazing sunset on their wedding day at the Dana on Mission Bay. We got some amazing shots of the two of them with the beautiful skies. The reception was pretty with the blues and purples and so much fun! These two have boundless energy, especially Brennan, she was dancing non stop the whole entire night. The best man and maid of honor gave really nice toasts, along with Brennan’s dad who was so funny. They had a photobooth and a slideshow playing in the foyer, and a lovely memorial table.

Hope you enjoy!
