2010 Wedding Highlights!

Congratulations to all of our wonderful 2010 brides & grooms and their families & friends! We had such a fun year with such a great group of people. We traveled to Orange County, Indianapolis, Chicago and of course every nook and cranny of the San Diego area. But what was really neat was to witness wedding traditions from all over the world; Poland, China, Korea, Denmark, India, Mexico, Vietnam, The Philippines, & Iran. This year there were a lot of creative ideas for entertainment like; candy buffets, photobooths, caricature artists, bands, freshly made donuts, a belly dancer, brides & grooms singing to each other, & choreographed dances…but enough from me, just enjoy this recap filled with all of our couples (yes everyone should be in there at least once!) celebrating with excitement and emotion! Thank you all for allowing us to be part of your big day and trusting us with protecting your memories, we LOVE OUR JOB!!!

Stillmotion short – ‘gateway’

So this is our third short film that we’ve put together for Stillmotion’s contest! The theme was ‘gateway’ and we had a hard time with this theme. For some reason, the first one we ever did was the one that was the easiest to come up with a story. This one was a little tricky. We thought of all the things we could think of that mean ‘gateway’ and this is what we came up with, story and all in a minute long video… If we win first prize we actually get to go meet the team and go to a workshop which would be so incredible for us! We are always looking to improve our work and what better way to learn than from the cinematographers we look up to most

Isolation – Stillmotion Shorts

Hey everyone,

Some of you may have seen the last video we entered into the Stillmotion Shorts contest. We had so much fun with that one we decided to do another! The theme is isolation and it’s only a minute. As much as we love to shoot weddings, it’s always fun to do something different. StillMotion, a company up in Canada started doing some fun contests for video shorts. They actually started it with their employees as a way to encourage creativity but they’ve since opened it to the public on their education section of their blog! The rules are that it can only be a minute and it has to take you less than 3 hours to make. And of course you have to follow the theme which for the first one was “found”. So here’s our interpretation of that theme…and soon you’ll see the next one! Here’s the link to the rest of the videos that competed…we didn’t win but we’re just happy we made the cut!
