There are still a few more weddings we have to post from the fall, but first I have another non-wedding blog post to share with you 🙂
One of the local radio stations in San Diego has a morning show called the Mikey Show. It’s a show Jared and I listen to in the mornings actually 🙂 The main DJ, Mikey, is a Christian and shares his uplifting and encouraging story every Friday afternoon. It’s an amazing story and we shot it for them.
So here is his story. It’s broken into two parts because it’s kind of long, but it is worth hearing. Definitely check it out!

It is always a treat to share a recap video from a friend’s wedding! We’re always so excited that our friends are willing to hire us and trust us with their memories 🙂 Matt and Tara had a beautiful ceremony overlooking the ocean at Seagrove Park in Del Mar. Their reception was in Point Loma and everyone had such a great time! I love that for their favors they had cookies from The Nordstrom Cafe, what a fun idea 🙂

Veronica and Anthony had such a fun wedding! They really incorporated themselves by choreographing their first dance together, having her friend sing for the father/daughter dance, and having his brother sing/play guitar for the mother/son dance. And of course the venue was beautiful as well. I love that the maid of honor brought props for her speech, that was awesome! The dance shots are really fun too, just seeing that many friends and family really having a good time and really happy for this couple who is so much in love! We also incorporated some still frames from Vallentyne Photography to make this video a fusion project 🙂

Weddings are all we have been posting lately and there are still a bunch more coming up but I thought I would throw in something a little different today! This is a little side project we got the opportunity to work on. My mom is a librarian in the schools and she and some colleagues wanted to work on a promotional video all about their jobs and what they do on a daily basis. This project is similar to one we did a while back that we worked for the Escondido Library and Center for Literacy about the Scabble-thon. Hopefully you will enjoy this little video and see a bit of a different side of SidebySide 🙂

Nicole and Daniel got married at Founder’s Chapel at USD and had their reception at the beautiful Hotel Del in Coronado. We were excited to be able to spend the day with them. Their reception was beautiful, I loved the golden candle holders, it made everything so warm looking. Another favorite thing from this wedding was the cigar roller. They had a guy rolling Cuban cigars for all the guests, it was definitely a hit!

Dawn and Mike had their ceremony at a beautiful catholic church in Del Mar…after the ceremony we all headed over the the L’Auberge for their reception. We LOVED the manzanita branches that their florist used for some of the decor. But I think my favorite part is Mike’s face as Dawn walked down the aisle. This was another very in love couple we’ve had the awesome chance to work with! Everyone seemed to have a great time as you’ll see…
