Adriana and Shawn had a beautiful wedding at the Museum of Ventura County. Adriana and her girls got ready at Adriana’s office where she does skin care. They had fun doing exercises and stretches while everyone was getting their hair and makeup done. They also had tequila shots with a toast once everyone was ready. I couldn’t believe how relaxed and chill everyone was!
Shawn and his guys had a great time getting ready as well. He opened a gift from Adriana which was a beautiful handmade crane. They were also super relaxed and excited to start the day.
The two didn’t do a first look so we headed straight to the ceremony. We loved the way they decorated the ceremony. They had a tree covered in paper cranes to honor Shawn’s heritage and they had papel picado to celebrate Adriana’s. It was so incredibly beautiful. We’ve never been to the Museum of Ventura County so it was neat to wander around a bit and see the property.
The ceremony was lovely with a well spoken officiant and friend, readers and personal vows. After the ceremony, they did photos and cocktail hour. There was a video “robot” with guests in Hawaii who couldn’t make it. The cocktail hour area was so cool and everyone had a great time. At the reception, Shawn’s mom did a lovely Hawaiian dancing performance. They had sweet speeches and awesome dancing!
The guests all received mugs from Mexico filled with all sorts of goodies and of course everyone enjoyed the pinata at the end of the night. Shawn did “the worm” on the dance floor and Adriana changed into a beautiful silver dress for the after party. All the guests enjoyed a photobooth and an ice cream and cookie bar, yum!
