We’ve had a great time working with this family, from their twins’ baby naming ceremony, their business’ ribbon cutting ceremony to their twins’ first birthday party. Such a fun day for such cuties!

Yamia and Asaf’s business has grown and because of that they’ve had to move into a new building! Yamia, with her lovely interior design skills, made the place beautiful and also decorated for the event. They had an early morning ribbon cutting with some speeches and then all the employees got to see the new space they’d be working in for the first time. We took the photos and the video and put together this fusion project for them. Here’s a link to an article about them.

We had the unique opportunity to shoot a Brit Milah/Baby Naming. This couple of twins (who we also did a photo shoot for here) had their ceremony in La Jolla (which we shot here) and what a ceremony it was with beautiful decor, an awesome brunch, a delicious dessert bar and fun&games for all the kids to enjoy. There was even a photo booth. It was really cool and a fun experience for us. So enjoy the video!

There are still a few more weddings we have to post from the fall, but first I have another non-wedding blog post to share with you
One of the local radio stations in San Diego has a morning show called the Mikey Show. It’s a show Jared and I listen to in the mornings actuallyThe main DJ, Mikey, is a Christian and shares his uplifting and encouraging story every Friday afternoon. It’s an amazing story and we shot it for them.
So here is his story. It’s broken into two parts because it’s kind of long, but it is worth hearing. Definitely check it out!

Like I’ve said before, I really hate calling these shoots “trash the dress” because many times the dress is not “trashed”. You can trash your dress, but in this case, Shannon did not. I did one of these sessions myself after our wedding and my dress was only a bit dirtier than before! Other things we might call this session would be “after wedding”, “bridal session”, “flaunt the dress” or “bridal elegance” but it seems that the most recognizable name for this kind of shoot is “trash the dress” so it remains
So we did “trash the dress” shoot with Dan and Shannon and Zelo Photography. I think both the moving and still images turned out great!
