We loved working with Helen and Sankhom. They were such a joy to work with because they were so thankful and appreciative of everyone’s hard work going into the day. We filmed their getting ready time at a hotel. Her little niece was adorable and kept grabbing things out of my camera bag. And some of the bridesmaids were speaking Cambodian, which I loved hearing because I spent a year there after college. They were all so nice and had a great time.
Their ceremony was at San Diguito park in San Diego. It was a really lovely day with just beautiful light. We did some fun drone shots before it all got started. The kids running around having fun before the ceremony started were so adorable! Their officiant was their friend and had so many nice things to say about them.
Helen and Sangkom did some photos then headed to the restaurant for dinner. They redecorated the entire restaurant to turn it into a wedding venue. I loved the over sized balloons filled with confetti and the backdrop behind the couple’s sweetheart table. Their grand entrance was super fun and all the guests were full of energy and ready to party. Her sister’s speech was so funny and they had a wonderful Laotian performance to honor Sankhom’s side of the family. The girls were adorable and they did such a great job!
The party was off the hook with hours and hours of dancing and food and dessert. It was such a great party and we really enjoyed be a part of their San Diego outdoor wedding!
