Abby and Rob had such a fun wedding! Abby looked so beautiful and I just loved her veil. She surprised Rob with a book that showed photos of an Allosaurus at every place theyβve visited together. It was such a fun and thoughtful gift and Rob loved it. The dinosaur theme continued throughout the day. She had a little dino charm on her garter. And of course they got married at the San Diego Natural History Museum (the NAT) which is full of dinosaurs!
After their getting ready time at the Westgate Hotel, they had their first look on the beautiful staircase. Rob admitted he had no idea about the Allosaurus shenanigans the whole year Abbie had been working on it! After some photos, everyone headed to the San Diego Natural History Museum for the ceremony and reception.
The ceremony was on the roof with such a great view of Balboa Park. The two did personal vows and mentioned how meaningful 11:11 is to them. So it was extra special that they were getting married on 11/11. Rob even had his watch set to the time all day! The ceremony was so pretty full of red roses as the sun set over Balboa Park.
The guests all went down to one of the exhibits for cocktail hour. The wedding party did some photos and then joined everyone else for cocktail hour as well. The guests enjoyed yummy food and dinosaur bones until the reception began. The reception was on the bottom floor and was transformed into a ballroom with all the decor. It was so beautiful! The band welcomed everyone on the dance floor and the reception was off the hook! The dessert bar and food stations were amazing and all the speeches and dances were so fun. What a great night!
