Judi + Josh – El Cortez Wedding

We just loved Judi and Josh’s El Cortez wedding! They were just such a sweet couple and we loved getting to learn more about their story on their special day. Throughout the vows and speeches we got to hear, we learned how they met, got together, and fell in love. They knew each other for a long time and are best friends. That’s just the best!

While they were getting ready, the guys found out that the hotel was a PokeStop and they joked that the wedding would have to be on hold while they “caught them all”. It was great because later the best man joked that the groom would be playing Pokeman during the speech! I loved the gift that Josh got Judi. They have a favorite artist who did a lot of the animation for the Disney short films. He was at Comic-Con this year and Josh got her some prints and a book and had Pascal Campion sign them for her. So thoughtful!

They had their first look near Balboa Park and had a fun photo time with their wedding party. We just loved watching how much fun everyone was having, sharing so many laughs together. Then we headed to the ceremony and reception venue which was El Cortez down in San Diego.

The ceremony was inside and they accidentally said each others’ vows which was actually quite funny. They continued to laugh through their correct vows and it was just great. They had a little bit more photo time after the ceremony and then joined cocktail hour. The reception was full of great energy and they danced the night away! They had mentioned during the speeches that the bride had liked Backstreet boys and so the groomsmen came up to us during dancing and lip synced to I want it that way. So great.

We hope you enjoy this beautiful wedding!

Jordan + Alex – L’Auberge Del Mar

We had another beautiful day on the beach in sunny southern California. Jordan and Alex got married on the cliffs overlooking the ocean at Seagrove Park and their reception was at L’Auberge Del Mar. Their ceremony was a mix of Jewish and Christian traditions with two officiants. They each shared a bit about the couple and how much they have traveled and how much fun they have together. They are huge sports fans and you’ll see in all the decor and details that they incorporated their favorite team colors. Their wedding hashtag was even #teamjalex! Their vows were adorable and I thought it was cute that they both broke a glass during the glass breaking ceremony at the end.

Jordan and Alex were very excited to hang out with their friends and family. They quickly took some photos and then headed to the cocktail hour. The details at the dinner were so pretty. I loved that the name cards were all tickets and the centerpieces were so pretty. Their first dance was adorable and choreographed. You can totally tell how much fun they have together. After that they took photos with each of their tables and it seemed like they had inside jokes with each group. Definitely all about their friends!

L’Auberge Del Mar is a fun venue with different levels so after dinner we all moved downstairs where they had an epic grand entrance. Each of the bridal party did different sport poses and it really got the crowd ready to party. They had a photobooth with all sorts of fun sport props and the thing they were most excited for was karaoke! Their whole group was super into karaoke and it was so fun!

We hope you enjoy their wedding film!!

Stacey + Phil – Mt Woodson Castle

We absolutely love working at the Mt Woodson Castle. We always work with the best people and it’s just so dang pretty!! Stacey and Phil were so stinking funny. We were laughing the whole day. Stacey had a beautifully sparkly dress and a super fun garter that said “tag, you’re it”. They had her perfume bottle engraved with their date and she had a photo of her late father on her bouquet in his honor. All the details were so lovely.

Phil was having a good time with the guys until he realized he forgot the marriage license back at the hotel!! This allowed for a lot of teasing from the other guys. But he was able to get it in time and no harm done! They headed to the first look and it was just so sweet. They were chatting for the longest time, just catching up on each of their days and you could just tell how much they enjoy being together.

After the photo time, we headed down for the ceremony and the decor and light were just perfect at that time. I really loved all the details at the ceremony. Bethel did a great job officiating as usual and with the emotional and touching vows, it was just a lovely ceremony. The reception details were sweet. I especially loved the cake topper which said, “as you wish” from the movie Princess Bride.

At the reception, they had lawn games, a s’mores bar and tons of great dancing. Matt kept the dance floor hopping and everyone seemed to have a fantastic time. At the end they did a glow stick grand exit which was a fun ending to a great day. We hope you enjoy Stacey and Phil as much as we did!!

Estancia La Jolla – Nicole + Mitch Wedding Film

Nicole and Mitch had a beautiful garden wedding at Estancia La Jolla. It was such a pretty day and such a classy wedding. Nicole and her mom and maid of honor kept making each other get teary eyed during the getting ready time. They had some photo time at Estancia and then headed to the church for the ceremony. They decided to wait for the walk down the aisle to see each other for the first time and it was so sweet! Check out her bouquet, wow wow wow!

The ceremony was beautiful at Founder’s Chapel at USD. I loved the huge flowers and the light peeking through the stained glass windows was so pretty. The priest had a lovely talk about friendship in marriage which was really cool to hear. They both seemed so calm and relaxed once they were up there together. After their vows they had some photo time at the church and then took a vintage car back to Estancia La Jolla.

The cocktail hour was in the middle garden and they served Moscow mules and beautiful Hors d’oeuvres. There was live music which was a lovely addition. The seating chart was so awesome written on a huge mirror! All the other reception decor was incredible. The head table was covered in flowers and the flowers on the cake were just gorgeous. We really enjoyed the speeches as they mentioned friendship in marriage as well. It really tied their story together.

The guests had a great time on the dance floor and in the photobooth. We had a lovely time with Nicole and Mitch and hope you enjoy their wedding film!

From the couple: We received the videos yesterday and we LOVE them! Thank you SO SO much! We must have watched them 15 times last night. Thank you for capturing the day so beautifully in memories we will cherish forever. Thank you again, so very much!

Green Gables Wedding Estate – Honey + JayR Wedding

Honey and JayR had a beautifully themed garden wedding at Green Gables Wedding Estate. He’s a barber, actually kind of a famous barber and she’s a teacher. The teacher meets barber theme was carefully crafted and included in every part of the day. The girls got ready in the school house and the bride did some pre wedding push ups to get in the game. Another fun thing was that their doggy was part of the wedding and got ready with the ladies. The guys got ready elsewhere but got their boutonnieres on at the venue. JayR also had a pin that his friend created for him that shows him with his barber shears, so neat. We just loved how many details there were at this wedding.

The first look was so cool First of all, these two weren’t totally set on having a first look so when they decided on it they wanted to make it really special. Honey had a huge balloon to hide her and then released it as she walked up. JayR was so nervous he was going to cry but they had a beautiful first look and a fun photo shoot after that. They even had a school bus to take a few photos with. Their ceremony was beautiful and meaningful with verses from the Bible and personal vows. The details were cute there too with Honey’s teacher apple on her vow book and Jr’s barber pole. Also, the guests were supposed to throw paper airplanes as they walked down the aisle after the ceremony!

The reception had tons of details for their theme. They had bells to ring to encourage them to kiss, pencils to find your seat and tables with class names, including detention! Even the drink station was named “recess”. They just had it all at the reception. A Ferrari grand entrance with glitter poppers, a performance from a famous Hawaiian duo and cronuts! They had games, a photobooth and lots of great dancing. They had such a great wedding, we hope you enjoy their film!!

Fallbrook Treehouse – Morgan + Ryan Wedding Film

Wow, this Fallbrook Treehouse DIY wedding was fabulous! Morgan and Ryan had a beautiful picturesque wedding celebration at this super cute venue. It’s quite the drive out but it’s worth it when you find this gem of a location. The ladies got ready in the tree house but we finished getting Morgan dressed outside under the trees. We had to hide her as the guys arrived and it ended up being pretty funny as the girls all made a wall with their dresses!

After the first look, the wedding party had a photo shoot and I have to say, the light was just gorgeous ALL DAY! They were a super fun group and everything was just so pretty. Morgan and Ryan have a cool story as their relationship was long distance for so long but now they are finally together together. Morgan’s brother officiated the ceremony which was very special and we just loved the wreaths up front. Morgan actually made most of the decor and she even made her wedding cakes!

Speaking of the decor, it was so incredible. It always amazes me when a couple can plan a long distance wedding and make all the decor! She even made all the favors for their guests, homemade vanilla, yum! The copper and geode decor was perfect for this Arizona couple and the flowers were a perfect match to everything. They even had their own wedding logo, amazing. After the meaningful ceremony overlooking the pond, the guests moved to cocktail hour at the tree house. Yes, Fallbrook Treehouse actually has a tree house, and it’s a working house that you could stay at.

The ceremony was at the perfect time, the lighting was like butter and it was just so romantic under all the trees. They had delicious dinner and later the caterers brought out churros for dessert. We were wondering if there would be much dancing since it was still daylight, but the guests were ready. They had a great time on the dance floor and I think it’s safe to say that the bride and groom had a wonderful time on their wedding day. We hope you enjoy this film as much as we do.

From the couple: We are absolutely in love with the video and footage you captured on our wedding day.  Your talent is a beautiful gift to us that we will cherish forever! Love it!  Will be sharing with everybody I’ve ever known- it’s just so beautiful!  xoxo Thank you!!!!

Hilton Bayfront – Megan + Harrison Wedding Film

San Diego’s Hilton Bayfront hotel is such an awesome spot for weddings! They have towering views over San Diego’s downtown and they are walking distance to the gaslamp district. The rose gold jewelry was just beautiful and they even painted some of the flowers to match. The ladies had a great time during the getting ready time and were laughing most of the time. The girls wore blush pink which complimented the rose gold very well. Megan’s headband was so cute and her bouquet was fantastic.

Harry also had a great time with the guys, they had a little trouble with the pocket squares. I will definitely post a video on that someday because this isn’t the first time! His guys toasted him and then the guys and girls took photos separately. They didn’t do a first look which doesn’t seem to be as common these days but they wanted to save that moment for the aisle.

The ceremony was overlooking the ocean and it was so sweet. Their vows could not have been sweeter and we loved getting to know more about them. The vows were so sweet that the officiant even had them hug after each of them spoke. So great!

The Hilton Bayfront was great for a reception and Bliss Events did a great job coordinating everything. The cocktail hour was on the balcony overlooking the ocean and the guests could take instant photos for the guest book. I loved that in their candy “bar” they each had one that was their favorite. That was a nice touch. The cake was very pretty and the gold glitter on it was a nice touch! They had meaningful speeches and beautiful dances. And during open dancing there was one of the longest dance circles I think we’ve ever seen.

They were such a sweet couple and we hope you enjoy them as much as we did. Here’s their story:

From the couple:

Harrison and I watched the wedding films and they were all breathtaking!! You guys did such a wonderful job, thank you so much!
