Katherine and Shane – the wedding – Loews Coronado Hotel

As you could see from Katherine and Shane’s teaser, they had a pretty awesome and gorgeous wedding. I’m actually going to post 2 video montages from their wedding. The first one is their pre-wedding montage. This one is a little different from most because we incorporated pictures along with the video. Heather from Vallentyne photography was gracious enough to let us use her pre-wedding photos with this video! I like the feel of it having the 2 different mediums 🙂

The second part of their wedding I would like to share with you is their dance montage. They had a lot of fun as you can tell both on the dance floor and with the photo booth.

Our 1 year – North San Diego County

So, since it’s Thanksgiving, I thought I’d post a video regarding something Jared and I are thankful for: each other! I know it sounds cheesy but I think it’s important to remember good times and remember how we felt when we first were married. I know it’s only been a year but in some ways I can’t believe it’s only been a year! Our 1 year anniversary was just a couple weeks ago, November 10th and we have had so much fun. We actually just watched our wedding video so we could remember and there was so much we had forgotten. We had to keep pausing it to laugh at stuff that we had no idea had happened! One thing we have enjoyed so much is just working together. Every wedding we get to experience together reminds us of our own promises to each other and our own fun day! We are just so thankful to live in a country where we can have the freedom to pursue our dreams and we’re so thankful for our life together. I’ve put together a little highlight reel of our wedding day so you can experience a bit of our wedding 🙂

For our anniversary we went camping up in Julian and had a fun adventure out at the Salton Sea. It actually rained the second night we were there and I loved every minute of it. Rarely does it rain in southern California and rarely are we both able to be together enjoying it when it does. So for us, to be awake in the middle of the night listening to the wind and rain in a tent, it’s like a taste of heaven! I would absolutely love to do a “trash the dress” shoot in the rain someday if anyone is ever willing!

Anyway, stay tuned next week because I still have a few more weddings to post about and other fun stuff coming soon…yippee!

DV Expo – Pasadena

Warning: Major nerdiness ahead.
So a couple weeks ago Jared and I and our friends Seth and Deseree from Zelo Photography headed up to L.A. to go to the DV Expo. For videographers, this is like heaven on earth! You get to check out all the latest digital video technology and equipment and you even get to play with it! We were running around like little children…and drooling a little. Our Amazon.com wishlist just got a whole lot bigger!
Of course none of us brought our still cameras so we only have iphone pictures from Dez (thanks Dez!) but you get the idea!
Here we are looking way too giddy – like our badges? We look all official and everything!
Here I am playing with the DV multi rig Pro! We definitely know these next few pictures look really nerdy but until you’ve tried using some of these things, don’t you judge us!
Here’s Jared playing with the Glidecam X-10! So anyone who wants to buy us a Christmas present…here is what we want:
This is the same equipment just from a different angle. You start sweating in it pretty much immediately, yikes! BUT, it’s pretty much the most amazing thing ever. That and the Brevis (which is sexy, right Seth?) add that to the Christmas list as well 🙂
droooooool!
It was a very educational day. We didn’t win any prizes from the drawing but we had a lot of fun getting inspired. My mind is blown!
