Nikki + TJ – Japanese Garden Wedding

We loved learning about Nikki and Tj’s story at their Japanese Garden wedding! They were high school sweethearts and have been together through college and now grad school. They had photos of their prom night for decoration, so cute! The girls got ready in downtown San Diego overlooking the bay and Nikki’s little sisters got her dressed. TJ got ready at a home with his wedding party. They had the most adorable first look at the hotel. TJ’s reaction was just great. After being together for 10 years, the buildup of emotion just overflowed. After their first look we did some photo time and then the two of them shared their personal vows together at Seaport Village. We have had a few couples do that lately and we love it, such a great idea!

The ceremony was at St. Gregory the Great church. We love filming there, so much natural light. After the ceremony everyone headed to the Japanese Friendship gardens in Balboa Park, San Diego. The couple did some photo time around Balboa Park and the rest of the guests enjoyed food, drinks and reception fun at the Japanese Garden Wedding! Each guest got a fun drawing of their name with animals. They received sandals for dancing and signed the guest book.

The reception kicked off with high energy with the grand entrance, first dance and a choreographed dance from the whole bridal party! It was really fun and such a fun way to get the party started. There were speeches and more dances, cake cutting and s’more roasting. We hope you enjoy this wonderful couple and their 10 years together. Congratulations!

Ashley + Travis – Orfila Winery Wedding

It was so fun filming an Orfila Winery wedding! We live so close so it was really fun filming locally. Ashley and Travis make such a great couple. Ashley was so excited about her super sparkly dress and we loved it! So beautiful! She surprised Travis with a guitar as a wedding gift. He was so surprised and just loved it. He and the guys got ready in the barrel room and he gave them each knives with their initials. She and the girls got ready in the bridal suite and she gave her girls a bunch of fun goodies. I loved the way Ashley’s mom and Ashley looked at each other all day, such sweet mom and daughter moments.

The two didn’t have a first look and we loved watching Travis watch his bride come down the aisle. They had such a nice ceremony with kind words about the two. The vines on the hill made a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony.

The cocktail hour is just so beautiful at an Orfila Winery Wedding. The patio is just so lovely and all the guests enjoyed Orfila wine, yummy cocktails and lawn games. Ashley and Travis did their photo time out in the vineyard and it was just so pretty

At the reception, there was a fun photo booth, a cookie decorating station, sweet speeches and fun events! It was so incredibly sweet when Travis pulled out that brand new guitar to sing his new bride a song. Such a sweet moment. After all the events, the guests danced the night away with glow sticks. Ashley and Travis did a grand exit with bubbles. It was so pretty!

Gillian + Sean – Ranch at Bandy Canyon Wedding

Gillian and Sean had a magically dreamy wedding in Escondido California. The Ranch at Bandy Canyon is such a diamond in the rough. It feels as though you are in the middle of nowhere, it’s such a unique place! The day couldn’t have been more perfect for the two. They each got ready in their cabins with their bridal parties. Sean wore neat cube cuff links and he gave the guys all personalized flasks for their gifts. The groom and his family are Australian and there were plenty of jokes about how Gillian fell for him because of his accent! It was so great hearing all the guys with their accents all day. They had a lot of fun hanging out. Gillian and her ladies and the moms also had a great time. I loved her braid and simple baby’s breath accents. And the bouquet was gorgeous along with the trailing ribbons!

The two had their first look and we thought it was so funny that Sean said, “who’s there?” when she tapped him on the shoulder. They are just so cute together! They did some photo time with the two of them and with their families and then headed to the ceremony. The flowers at this wedding were just gorgeous, especially mixed in with succulents. I definitely have a soft spot for succulents! I loved all the things the officiant said and the lighting at the ceremony just couldn’t have been more spectacular!

During cocktail hour the guests played lawn games and enjoyed food and drinks. The guests had a great time and Gillian and Sean enjoyed their photo time including practicing their first dance on the lawn. The reception details were just as gorgeous as the ceremony! They also had a big donut display and a s’more bar for everyone to enjoy. The reception kicked off with a lively grand entrance and choreographed first dance. The guests enjoyed the dessert, dancing and photobooth on the lovely spring night!

We hope you enjoy this beautiful and dreamy Ranch at Bandy Canyon wedding!

Melissa + Stewart – Balboa Park Prado

We were absolutely honored to get to work with one of our fellow wedding vendors for her special day! We have worked with Melissa at I do Weddings and events at countless weddings over the years. She is just an awesome person and we’re so glad that she had such a beautiful wedding day with her new husband and her son. The Balboa Park Prado is so iconic and beautiful and classy, just like our couple of the hour!

They had an intimate event with just their closest family and friends. Melissa was just beaming and we just loved her beautiful veil. After she got ready, she had a lovely first look with her son. It was so special and really relax both of them. After her first look with her son, she had a first look with her groom! I loved the long walk through the archways as she approached Stewart. And he was so incredibly sweet in his reaction. They did some photos then headed to the ceremony.

The ceremony was on the balcony attached to the room where the reception was. Melissa’s son walked her down the aisle and Stewart and Melissa shared vows. Bethel, their officiant had very kind words to share about the both of them. Their vows were very sweet and meaningful. And I love that Melissa said that her vows were privileges rather than promises.

After the ceremony they did photo time with family and then all around Balboa Park. The guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the opposite balcony overlooking Balboa Park Prado. They enjoyed food, signature cocktails, and a photobooth. Then everyone moved into the room to enjoy a fabulous dinner together around a King’s table. The decor was just lovely and on point with the beautiful welcome sign and the bride and groom outfits as well! They shared a first dance and cake cutting with Melissa’s son. It was just such a classy event and we had such a great time. We hope you enjoy these lovely people at their beautiful wedding!

Nicole + Matthew – L’Auberge Del Mar Wedding

We just loved learning Matthew and Nicole’s story! They met at a country bar and fell in love over dancing, music and quick wit. They are both smart, sweet, funny and so cute together. Their wedding day started at L’Auberge del Mar as they got ready with their wedding parties. Nicole had a beautiful flower crown and the bridesmaids dresses were amazing. Everything was a Hawaiian theme and their planner pulled it together so perfectly. Nicole also wore this beautiful palm tree pendant, and I loved her low back dress, so dainty! The guys had way too much fun during the getting ready. They hung out at the bar and they rode bikes in the valet area of L’Auberge. Perfect for a Del Mar wedding!

The ceremony was upstairs with a view of the ocean. The Hawaiian theme continued with beautiful tropical flowers, palm leaves and pineapples. They didn’t have a first look and so Matthew saw his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle, so special! Their officiant told a lot of the story of how they met and how he encouraged their relationship to bloom. After that the two shared their vows which were just beautiful and filled in all the rest of their love story.

Cocktail hour was fun with food, drinks and photo time for the couple. The amazing planner and staff “flipped” the ceremony site to the dinner site. The decor was just so spot on. They did a grand entrance and a choreographed first dance which was so well done. Their friends and family gave beautiful toasts that were just so meaningful and sweet.

After dinner, the reception moved downstairs. Nicole switched to her dancing shoes and the dancing got started. The cake continued the pineapple theme and the dessert bar looked fabulous. We hope you enjoy this sweet couple and their beautiful Del Mar wedding!

Nathan Bar Mitzvah – San Diego Events

We have absolutely loved working with this family for years now. We filmed their twins’ baby naming party, the twins’ first birthday, and now their big brother’s thirteenth birthday party! It was amazing to say the least! The event took place over two days. They had a family dinner for Shabbat with their closest family and friends. They had a fabulous dinner, all wore white and sang happy birthday to the birthday boy. Later they headed outside. They showed an awesome slideshow that Nathan’s parents put together for him. Nathan was lifted up for the Hora to celebrate and that kicked off the dancing for the first night of his Bar Mitzvah.

The next night of the Bar Mitzvah was for all the friends and especially Nathan’s friends. There were a lot of festivities! As guests arrived there were performers to welcome them. The decor was beautiful with all the flowers and of course their home is impeccable. This night started with some fun games that the DJ played with the kids and then dinner. There were several food stations set up. Sushi, woodfired pizza, Israeli food and an ice cream truck were the options for all the guests! Throughout the night, there were multiple performances by the fire dancers. They did such a great job! I especially loved the reflection from the pool. There were also various activities for the guests like a photo booth, henna, face painting, a fire pit and of course dancing!

The dancing was off the hook! The kids had so much fun and they danced for hours! The whole family got to do the hora this time and it was just a super fun event. Yamia, Nathan’s mom, has such a knack for party planning as you can see! We hope you enjoy these highlights! Happy birthday Nathan!

Blair + Kingsley – Palm Springs Wedding

We had the pleasure of working with Blair and Kingsley at their Palm Springs Wedding this winter. It was a gorgeous day with pretty light and a great venue. The two had an intimate ceremony and receptions with just the closest of their friends and family. They started the day with some family photos before moving to the ceremony. I think this was a first for us but their beta fish was on the guest book table at the ceremony! Definitely a fun and different way to do it!

Their ceremony was overlooking the lake filled with ducks and geese and beautiful words from their good friend.

The Empire Polo Field in Palm Springs provided lots of pretty backdrops for photo time, especially during the golden hour. They danced on the field, and got some beautiful photos by the lake. The guests enjoyed lawn games and smoking cigars during cocktail hour. Blair and Kingsley joined their friends and family at cocktail hour for the second half and had a wonderful time!

After cocktail hour, everyone moved to dinner. There were a couple speeches and their cake cutting. After that they moved to the twinkle light dance floor. It was so pretty and the best part was that Blair changed her dress for their first dance. So sparkly!! They had a photobooth as well and it was so neat just seeing such a sweet couple enjoying their best day with their closest friends!

We hope you enjoy these two lovebirds!
