Surprise Party!

I had the awesome pleasure of throwing a surprise party for my mom this month! We had an alpaca theme with real alpacas, my brother came in from out of town and we all had a great time. I just loved these cookies from a past bride of ours. They were delicious and so beautiful. Endless Memories

The alpacas came from A Simpler Time

This personalized mason jar came from Groomsday Gifts. (They also have Bride Bop) It says “mama llama” Goes with the theme as close as it gets…I mean what’s the difference between a llama and alpaca anyway?! haha.

Leslie + Justin – Catamaran San Diego Wedding

Leslie and Justin had such a great story and we loved being a part of team Juslie’s “marathon for life”! It was pretty cool too because their wedding day was the same day as our wedding anniversary! The two are foodies and workout aficionados. They ran races on each other’s birthdays when they first started dating and running has been a huge theme in their life together and now wedding.

Their whole day was at the Catamaran San Diego. They each got ready with their wedding parties and Leslie opened a card from her future husband. They had a first look in the garden area at the venue and it was really sweet. They were really excited to see each other and really excited to be getting married.

The ceremony was on the lawn in front of the bay and they had a great officiant who told their story well. Leslie and Justin also wrote personal vows and I love how all of what all three of them said told their story so well. After their ceremony they took more photos while everyone enjoyed cocktail hour on the lawn. The reception details were on point with a cookbook from the pair and a tropical cake topper. They also had a tiny carrot on each place setting in remembrance of Leslie’s mom. That was such a cute way to honor a loved one.

Justin and Leslie had a band leading the way for their grand entrance and they performed an awesome choreographed first dance in Leslie’s second dress. It was such a great dance and even had some push ups from Justin in there! We enjoyed working with these two and learning their story, hope you enjoy as well!

Kristen + Jason – Del Mar Wedding Films

Jason and Kristen had an absolutely beautiful Del Mar wedding! They were hoping the sun would come out for some of the day and they certainly got their wish as they had a beautiful day. They got ready at the lovely L’Auberge Del Mar which is where their reception was as well. Kristen got ready with her ladies and her mother in law and sister in law. All her details were so nice and we loved the dress! The guys hung out together as well and we loved all their individual cuff links, all super heroes!

The two had a first look and then read their vows to each other. We have had a couple of couples do this and it’s so great! We also thought it was cute that they used rainbow unicorn notebooks to write their vows in. We all enjoyed the beautiful sunshine for some photo time and then headed to Seagrove Park for the ceremony.

The ceremony overlooked the ocean and was windy and lovely. The flowers were beautiful and you can’t beat the view of a Del Mar wedding! After the ceremony, everyone joined cocktail hour at L’Auberge Del Mar on one of their balconies. After that, everyone headed to the upper balcony for dinner and toasts. There were awesome speeches and a beautiful first dance. I loved Kristen’s dad’s speech and why he liked Jason so much.

After dinner, everyone moved downstairs for some awesome dancing and photobooth time. They also did their cake cutting there and Kristen was in her second dress as well. They danced the night away! We hope you enjoyed this beautiful wedding and these two lovely people. Congratulations you two 🙂

Becky + Trevor – Los Willows Wedding

We had so much fun at Becky and Trevor’s beautiful Los Willows wedding. I met Becky years ago through my mom and she told me years ago that when she got married someday she wanted us to film her wedding! That makes this wedding so special to us. Now about this wedding. Trevor is a Batman fan and she’s a Disney fan, especially Beauty and the Beast. Well, really they are both Disney fans and they included so many Disney elements into their day! Becky decorated her shoes to look like Belle, and she brought a frying pan for the first “look” to reenact a scene from the movie Tangled. They didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony so they thought this would be a fun twist on the first look. He was blindfolded and she recreated the scene where Rapunzel is going to hit Flynn with the frying pan. So fun!

We loved how Trevor arrived to his ceremony in the little red convertible! At the ceremony, the officiant shared a bit about how the two met, became friends, and eventually started dating. They even shared their first kiss at Disneyland! The two wrote personal vows that were so sweet, meaningful and funny and there were a lot of laughs and tears.

After the ceremony Becky and Trevor took a boat ride around the lake and all the guests enjoyed the beautiful grounds and cocktail hour. There were a lot of fun Disney references on all the centerpieces which Becky made herself and the gobo was a Batman logo for Trevor. The reception was so nice and the weather was great! The whole wedding party danced the grand entrance and the first dance was so sweet. I loved Becky’s dad’s speech. He referenced so many Disney movie lines and it was really funny and he had the whole room laughing.

After all the dancing the couple had a grand exit with sparkling lights and a send off in the boat. It’s a neat thing they do for Los Willows wedding. Thank you for having us there to celebrate! We so enjoyed telling your story and we wish you the very best! Congratulations you two.

Taylor + Mark – Coronado Wedding

Taylor and Mark have such a lovely story, meeting through friends and hitting it off right away. They had a Coronado wedding overlooking the beautiful San Diego Bay. The weather was wonderful and everyone was all smiles all day. They have a beautiful son who was part of the wedding in his little suit. Their Coronado wedding was such a beautiful day with a gorgeous sunset to boot.

Taylor’s crew were hilarious. They were laughing and full of energy the entire getting ready time. The adorable flower girl was funny too and had some great lines throughout the morning. The guys took some photos together and then everyone headed to the very end of the Loews Coronado Hotel for the ceremony.

The two did not see each other before the ceremony, it’s always so sweet to see the groom’s face when he sees the bride in her gown for the first time! I loved the mirror sign at the entrance of the ceremony and all the flowers were so beautiful! Mark and Taylor had wonderful personal vows that were both funny and meaningful.

Taylor and Mark had some lovely sunset photos during cocktail hour. We loved the flowers and seashell names. The reception was beautiful with really funny and sweet speeches, an awesome cake and amazing dancing. They even smeared cake on each other’s faces! They were so fun and really looked like they enjoyed their wedding day. We hope you enjoy these two and their beautiful wedding day!

Maggie + Seth – Point Loma Wedding

Maggie and Seth celebrated their Point Loma wedding at Maggie’s parent’s house and at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse. The two met online and were so pleasantly surprised with each other. They have traveled together, fought causes together and now planned a wedding together. They love coming up with new ways to save the environment and so their wedding had lots of unique details that they hand made to do so. All the bouquets and boutonnieres were handmade with recycled fabric and also reusable as decor. They also had some of these handmade flowers as decoration at the event. Her parent’s have lots of plants and flowers growing everywhere so they used the natural surroundings for everything else.

The two had their first look on the cliff overlooking the ocean with the wind in their hair. It was beautiful and so touching the way they spoke with each other. They were very excited to finally be getting married! The wedding party all wore dresses and suits of their choosing and had a fun time taking photos together. The ceremony was fun with unique quotes from the wedding party on the program and great music provided by Lee Coulter. They had a chuppah leading the way and all their family and friends to celebrate them.

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed cocktail hour and dinner at the same time. There were various food stations set up with amazing dishes including sushi, macaroni and cheese and steak. The guests could then walk around enjoying drinks, food and company. They had a welcome toast there and then everyone headed over to Tom Ham’s Lighthouse.

Maggie and Seth continued their Point Loma wedding with photos, dessert, coffee, speeches and dances at their second location. They had a beautiful day and we hope you enjoy!

Jennifer + Keith – Temecula Creek Inn

Jennifer and Keith had an absolutely beautiful wedding day at Temecula Creek Inn. Jennifer got ready at the cutest rental in Temecula with her big bridal party and family. The girls all had a wonderful time together getting ready, laughing and praying together. Her dress was so delicate and I loved her earrings. Keith got ready at Temecula Creek Inn. We loved his boutonniere!

Jennifer headed to the venue as well after she got ready and had a first look with her dad and brother. She gave gifts and both the girls and guys had photo time separately. The two didn’t see each other for the first time until the ceremony! The ceremony decor was so lovely, with the flowers, the globe where everyone had traveled from and the Bible guest book where guests would highlight their favorite verses. The ring bearers were so cute one pulling the other down the aisle. And of course Keith seeing his bride for the first time was great.

After the ceremony the guests all headed to cocktail hour. The nice thing about Temecula Creek Inn is that everything is in the same area. So the guests don’t have far to walk. The table chart on the wood pallet was a nice touch and the desserts inside the stone house looked amazing. Us and the photographers captured some really great photo time at magic hour. I mean, are you kidding me?! These two were so adorable and the light was just perfect.

The grand entrance, dancing, speeches and other events were so fun, lively and heartfelt. The guests got to enjoy freshly made espresso drinks as the night cooled off and yummy donuts. Many of the guests were from Texas so they also had a lot of awesome line dancing throughout the night.

Hope you enjoy!!
