Linda + Spencer – Scripps Forum Wedding

Linda and Spencer’s Scripps Forum Wedding was just so beautiful! Everything from the gorgeous dress details, to the story of how they met were just magical. They couldn’t have had a more perfect day. They got ready at the La Jolla Shores Hotel and had a great time. The girls were so cute being so happy for Linda. Her dress had a lot of buttons which made for a fun time as well.

The two had their first look at Scripps Seaside Forum and I just loved Spencer’s face when he got to see his bride for the first time. That coupled with his vows to her about how lucky he was to find her just makes it so great. I loved seeing the wedding party from the window spying on the first look too.

They had pretty flowers and awesome weather. I know sometimes couples are bummed that it’s overcast, but LOOK at this wedding!! Overcast days really do give such pretty lighting and even skin tones. So fantastic. Their vows mixed in with what the officiant said were so cool because you really get to hear the whole story of how they found each other.

It’s really great having a Scripps Forum wedding because you’re up on the cliff to get phenomenal sunset views, but still close enough to do photo time on the beach. And the nice thing about being up on the cliff is you are far enough away from all the regular beach goers and the sound of the waves drowning out your vows. Their reception was super fun with a band and beautiful decor. There was a yummy dessert bar and so much great dancing under the twinkle lights!

We loved working with these two and we hope you enjoy their wedding film!

Erin + Jordan – Bates Nut Farm Wedding

We had such a wonderful time at Erin and Jordan’s Bates Nut Farm Wedding! They started their day getting ready at Bates. Erin and her ladies enjoyed some champagne and goodies that Bates provided, like nuts of course! I loved her veil and the ribbons on her beautiful bouquet.

The two had a lovely first look at a huge Oak Tree at the entrance of the property. They took some amazing photos and then joined the rest of their bridal party and family for more photos. Their decor was so whimsical and I loved all the lace and flowers. They got married under a beautiful archway with a pastor that Erin had known since childhood. He had so many great things to say about them and read such a lovely poem. Erin and Jordan shared personal vows to each other and took communion together. It got a little windy and Erin almost lost her veil but it provided for some laughter to ease the nerves.

After the ceremony they took some beautiful sunset photos while their guests enjoyed the beautiful January day! (Thank you San Diego!) Then the reception started with a fun grand entrance, first dance and a delicious Mexican food dinner. There was a lot more reception entertainment with the speeches and an adorable surprise dance by Erin’s sisters.

With the photobooth and dancing, the guests all had so much fun! I just loved all the eucalyptus, the handwritten signs and the name card wall, so cute! And the twinkle lights during the dancing were just perfect. Erin’s shrug at the reception was also so cute as the evening grew chillier 🙂 We hope you enjoy this lovely lovely couple at their Bates Nut Farm Wedding!

From the couple: Words cannot express how much Jordan and I absolutely love our video!

Stefanie + Scott – Scripps La Jolla Wedding

We were SO excited when Stefanie and Scott got in touch to have us film their Scripps La Jolla wedding. We had just filmed her sister’s wedding 7 months earlier. That made it really great to see them again. We loved getting to know their story throughout the day. They met at a Taylor Swift concert. The invitation had a subtle photo of TS which was a great way to bring that in. I loved that all the bridesmaids wore white dresses and everyone was so happy and fun! The groomsmen had some misadventures while surfing in the morning but they also were super fun and having a great time.

We had the most incredible light for the ceremony, and the flowers were amazing. One thing we absolutely loved was the way that Scott was just so enthusiastic about the day. We always love filming the groom’s reaction to his bride coming down the aisle but we not only got that amazing shot but the one with him coming down the aisle himself! He was sooo excited to get married. We learned a little more of their story through the officiant and through their sweet personal vows. And then to round out the excitement in the ceremony, the two recessed down the aisle with that same exuberance as they arrived.

They did some photos by the beach while everyone enjoyed cocktail hour and then kicked off the night with an energetic grand entrance and first dance. Their toasts were so sweet and thoughtful but the sweetest one was by the groom himself! He told their story from his perspective and it was so incredibly cool to hear the excitement in his voice about getting married to his bride. I hope they relive that excitement after 50 years of marriage! We wish them the very best. We hope you enjoy this Scripps La Jolla wedding.

Abby + Rob – Natural History Museum

Abby and Rob had such a fun wedding! Abby looked so beautiful and I just loved her veil. She surprised Rob with a book that showed photos of an Allosaurus at every place they’ve visited together. It was such a fun and thoughtful gift and Rob loved it. The dinosaur theme continued throughout the day. She had a little dino charm on her garter. And of course they got married at the San Diego Natural History Museum (the NAT) which is full of dinosaurs!

After their getting ready time at the Westgate Hotel, they had their first look on the beautiful staircase. Rob admitted he had no idea about the Allosaurus shenanigans the whole year Abbie had been working on it! After some photos, everyone headed to the San Diego Natural History Museum for the ceremony and reception.

The ceremony was on the roof with such a great view of Balboa Park. The two did personal vows and mentioned how meaningful 11:11 is to them. So it was extra special that they were getting married on 11/11. Rob even had his watch set to the time all day! The ceremony was so pretty full of red roses as the sun set over Balboa Park.

The guests all went down to one of the exhibits for cocktail hour. The wedding party did some photos and then joined everyone else for cocktail hour as well. The guests enjoyed yummy food and dinosaur bones until the reception began. The reception was on the bottom floor and was transformed into a ballroom with all the decor. It was so beautiful! The band welcomed everyone on the dance floor and the reception was off the hook! The dessert bar and food stations were amazing and all the speeches and dances were so fun. What a great night! Hope you enjoy 🙂

Elizabeth + Daniel – Inn at Rancho Santa Fe

The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe is such a great venue! There are a lot of great areas to host the different parts of the wedding day and the trees are so pretty. Elizabeth and Daniel are the cutest! She is a little shy and he is a little outgoing. He is hilarious and makes her laugh all day. It was funny during the getting ready the girls were checking out the guys while they were getting some photos done. The guys were yelling back not to look.

Elizabeth and Daniel had a sweet first look and of course they were both laughing. After the photo time they all got ready for the ceremony. The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe has such a great ceremony area under a beautiful tree. We did some drone shots before the ceremony and then got some fun detail shots as well. The ceremony was very nice and there were lots of laughs when Elizabeth tripped over the vows a bit. Sometimes nerves and emotion culminate into laughter and that’s totally ok!

Cocktail hour was fun with food, drinks and corn hole. The details at the reception were very pretty and we loved the cake. They had a dessert bar and games for their friends to play during the reception. Their friends and parents gave really nice speeches and we loved being able to piece those parts together to tell their story of the day.

They had glow sticks and a photo booth to kick off the dancing and they had a great rest of the evening! Hope you enjoy their beautiful day!

Denise + Ivan – Mt Woodson Wedding

One of our favorite things about living and working in San Diego is just the variety of people and venues we get to work with. There is no lack of things to do or places to see here. That includes choosing a wedding venue. You can get married at the beach, or at a castle! That’s right, a castle, in San Diego! Having a Mt Woodson wedding is just such a treat. It’s a really neat venue and with the beautiful weather we have year round, it’s great for outside weddings too.

Denise and Ivan started their wedding festivities at a church in San Marcos. It was so lovely hearing their ceremony in a mix of Spanish and English. And the band that played the music for the ceremony was so fun. Ivan walked down the aisle with his parents and was soon joined by the wedding party. Denise’s parents walked her down the aisle to Ivan and they had a beautiful ceremony.

They traveled over to Mt. Woodson for the reception and did some gorgeous photo time with their family and friends. They walked through the oak trees for some shots with just the two of them and then they joined cocktail hour. It was a pretty large wedding and everyone enjoyed drinks and snacks. Denise and Ivan had the most beautiful cake, desserts and table settings.

Their dessert table was awesome and they had a s’more booth too! The dinner was surrounded by oak trees and they had long tables with golden goblets. The flowers were so pretty and the speeches were very sweet.

From the couple: First off I want to say thank you for being so great to work with you guys are awesome and made our day even more special. You two make a great team! I received everything and absolutely loved it! My family and friends we very impressed with the quality of your work and packaging.

Helen + Sangkom – San Diego Outdoor Wedding

We loved working with Helen and Sankhom. They were such a joy to work with because they were so thankful and appreciative of everyone’s hard work going into the day. We filmed their getting ready time at a hotel. Her little niece was adorable and kept grabbing things out of my camera bag. And some of the bridesmaids were speaking Cambodian, which I loved hearing because I spent a year there after college. They were all so nice and had a great time.

Their ceremony was at San Diguito park in San Diego. It was a really lovely day with just beautiful light. We did some fun drone shots before it all got started. The kids running around having fun before the ceremony started were so adorable! Their officiant was their friend and had so many nice things to say about them.

Helen and Sangkom did some photos then headed to the restaurant for dinner. They redecorated the entire restaurant to turn it into a wedding venue. I loved the over sized balloons filled with confetti and the backdrop behind the couple’s sweetheart table. Their grand entrance was super fun and all the guests were full of energy and ready to party. Her sister’s speech was so funny and they had a wonderful Laotian performance to honor Sankhom’s side of the family. The girls were adorable and they did such a great job!

The party was off the hook with hours and hours of dancing and food and dessert. It was such a great party and we really enjoyed be a part of their San Diego outdoor wedding!

We received the beautifully packaged wedding video! Thank you so much! 😍Thank you! I am so grateful for you guys. I definitely will be writing raving 5-star reviews
