Abby and Robby – San Diego Wedding Video

Wow, the details at this wedding were just amazing!!! Abby and Robby had a wonderful celebration at her parents’ home. She wore two different dresses through the day, they had flowers floating in the pool, adorable homemade gifts of two different kinds of salsa for each and every guest, and the cutest little fox cake toppers! All the personal touches were just so thought out and meaningful.

They had a sweet first look and the ceremony vows were just so great and their officiant quoted Mr. Rogers in the sweetest way. The party at the end was so fun ending in everyone taking fireball shots.

We hope you enjoy!

Ailanna -18th Birthday Party

Ailanna had the most fun 18th birthday party with her friends and family! They had the event at the US Grant in downtown San Diego. She had a breathtaking dress and looked like a princess. She’s a dancer, so all the dances seemed professionally done. Hope you enjoy this awesome celebration!

Anelga and Mark – L’Auberge Del Mar Wedding

We always love working at L’Auberge Del Mar, it’s such a great wedding venue, lovely ocean views and it dresses up so nicely for weddings. These two had a gorgeous ceremony with the most beautiful Chuppah just covered in orchids. My favorite part of the ceremony was when Anelga’s dad danced her down the aisle, it was just such a sweet moment!

The reception was filled with beautiful speeches and dances, along with a lovely sunset and a dress change for Anelga!

We hope you enjoy this beautiful day!

Liz and Chris – San Diego Wedding Films

Talk about the details! Liz and Chris really had an eye for the small details, from his suit and tie, to her necklace down the back, to his watch and groomsman gifts, to her wardrobe change during the reception, so many fun things to see at this event!

They had their whole day at the same location, from getting ready to dancing. The ceremony and photo time were just beautiful and the reception was so much fun. These two really cared about the dancing and party time and they sure knew their crowd. The dancing was so much fun and everyone got a kick out of Liz’s dancing outfit!

Hope you enjoy this super fun wedding!

Happy 2024!

January is almost over and I’m finally posting a 2023 wrap up! This year has been the year of never getting around to sharing wedding films, but maybe this year will be better, all these beautiful days need to be shared! For now, here’s a glimpse of last year’s events. Every year we get so excited to see the new and personal touches that couples bring to their events. Some fun things from ’23 included donkeys, a champagne wall where you’d ring a bell and white gloved hands would bring out a drink, a rose wall for name cards, violins, mariachi, fire dancers, bands, a groom entrance in a mini car, religious traditions, cultural traditions, barbie, a floating cake, s’mores and so much more.

More than anything, this year has reinforced to us how important it is to remember all the beautiful and personal and heartfelt parts of your day, with photos AND videos. Being able to tell wedding day stories is a dream job and we’re so thankful for all our couples, vendor friends, friends and family who refer us and support our business. Please continue to share our work and send us to any friends and family getting married next year. We would love to work with them!

Happy New Year and Thank you thank you!!

Merry Christmas 2023 from SidebySide Cinema!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from your friendly neighborhood videographers! Enjoy our silly tradition and once a year personal video that we share. All 17 years we’ve been together 🙂

Check out our previous years!! 20222021202020192018201720162015, 2014201320122012 bloopers, 20112011 bloopers201020092008 & 2007

This year we used AI for our card and video. We generated the above images with “family of four, dog, cats, and chickens” and these are what it came up with, hah! And for the video, we used chat GPT to write the script and we followed the script completely! Except we added the laugh track. Enjoy!

And here’s the story behind the tradition: We got married November 2007 so by the time we got back from our honeymoon and moving and all the wedding/marriage things, we just didn’t even think about Christmas cards that first year. So in the 11th hour, literally on Christmas Eve, we thought of making that very first video. It took no time at all and it was just silly. Then we said to ourselves, “we should do this every year!” And then we did! They have clearly gotten more involved over the years and we’ve included our kids and animals but they are no more well planned. We always have a whole year to figure out an idea and every single time we wait until the last minute…So enjoy our silly little tradition (last minute as usual)…

Michael + Khushboo – La Jolla Wedding

I love when couples are able to include some of their family traditions into weddings. Combining both Indian and American traditions was just a beautiful thing at Michael and Khushboo’s beautiful La Jolla Shores wedding. They had a beautiful San Diego sunny day for their wedding. The ceremony was on the beach with the sound of waves in the background, so beautiful. Cocktail hour was at the hotel while the two of them took some lovely photos on the beach. Their reception was so fun with a photobooth, dancing and fun speeches.

We hope you enjoy watching this wedding highlight as much as we enjoyed filming and editing it!!
