Jess + Chris – Galway Downs Wedding

Jess and Chris finally had their wedding celebration last year. We got to meet them before their wedding to film their love story film, you can watch it here: Your Story Film

It was so fun to watch the video at their wedding with all their guests. Our favorite part was when they were talking about how important it was to be together with all the people that you love but in the moment they were with all those people. What a touching moment!

Jess and Chris had a beautiful ceremony followed by a super fun reception with an epic first dance. We had so much fun with them through the Your Story video and wedding, we hope you enjoy their wedding film!

Groomsman and Bridesmaids Gifts

We just love being able to share fun ideas for couples that go beyond the wedding. These are some really fun groomsmen and bridesmaid gift ideas. You can get them personalized for everyone in the wedding party and I really love that they are great to use for any occasion.

This cooler is really well made and such a great way to keep your fun drinks cool.

You can find this cooler here!

This weekender bag is perfect for the wedding day to store everything you need, but then to use again after, so useful and cute!

You can find this here!

This is another well made bag for toiletries. I love the leather accents and it has great storage.

Alex + Eric – Love Story Elopement

A few months into the pandemic, most of our 2020 weddings had been postponed to 2021 or 2022. One of our couples reached out to ask if they could postpone AND have us film their elopement on their original date! We of course loved the idea and we’re sharing that wedding film now 🙂

We went to Riverside to Alex and Eric’s own backyard to film the smallest ceremony we’ve ever filmed! It was just the two of them and their friend who officiated.

We went into town to do their first dance some photo time at Eric’s brewery, it was so cool!

I just love how they embraced the situation and made the day their own honoring that first date they had their heart on.

We eventually had the privilege of filming their full wedding a year later!

One of our favorite things about what we do is that ultimately we are story tellers…no matter what the story is or how the story changes, we’re there for it and we’re going to capture it. Enjoy!!

50 Year wedding Anniversary

These two had a beautiful celebration of their wonderful marriage of fifty years! They were planning on a bigger party but because of the pandemic, decided on having a small celebration and a larger one in the future. This celebration included their children and grandchildren at their home in San Diego.

The day was lovely. They had a beautiful ceremony including their whole family in the ceremony so they were all in the wedding and guests at the same time.

Then they had a beautifully intimate dinner in their home, then the family surprised them by putting together a musical performance! What a fun, talented family. We so enjoyed working with this family.

Heather + Nick – San Diego Botanical Gardens

Heather and Nick had a wonderfully whimsical wedding with Harry Potter vibes after 9 3/4 years together. They spoke their vows at the San Diego Botanic Garden, such a beautiful venue filled with flowers, trees and succulents. The flowers were amazing at this wedding along with all the details. They had a really cool bird (owl?) cage for notes and cards and the name cards on each place setting were just so cool! They had an intimate first look in the privacy of the trees and had a glorious photo session.

Their friend officiated and it was a great ceremony with laughs and wonderful words of hope. The party time was off the hook with the gorgeous reception setting, super fun dancing and amazing cheesecake that was brought in from out of town.

We hope you enjoy this lovely garden wedding, and slight blast from the past, one of the last weddings we did before the pandemic!

Steven + Jake – Intercontinental

Steven and Jake were supposed to have their big day in March of 2020. We were less than a week away from the wedding when we got the news of everything shutting down. We were really bummed but were hoping it would just be two weeks haha. Exactly one year later, Steven and Jake finally got to celebrate with their family and friends atop the Intercontinental in San Diego! It was definitely a different wedding than usual because guests were social distancing, wearing masks and not dancing (since we weren’t allowed to!). But regardless of what was going on in the world, you’ll see they still had a wonderful and fun day.

We loved their Pokemon guest book and their dessert spread was amazing! The guests had a super fun time in the photo booth and enjoying the beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony.

I loved their speech, hoping that the world can be back to normal soon, we hope you enjoy!

Merry Christmas 2021 – Our 15th Annual Video!!

Hey everyone! This year was just a wild ride wasn’t it? (that’s what I said last year but I think it still works for 2021…)

We don’t share many personal videos, but once a year we do! Enjoy our FIFTEENTH annual Christmas card video! And if you’re new here, check out our old ones too! (p.s. we are aware we’re super dorks ok)

Check out our previous years!! 2020, 20192018201720162015, 2014201320122012 bloopers, 20112011 bloopers201020092008 & 2007

And if you’re still reading, a little backstory: We got married November 2007 so by the time we got back from our honeymoon and moving and all the wedding/marriage things, we just didn’t even think about Christmas cards that first year. So in the 11th hour, literally on Christmas Eve, we thought of making that very first video. It took no time at all and it was just silly. Then we said to ourselves, “we should do this every year!” And then we did! They have clearly gotten more involved over the years but they are no more well planned. We always have a whole year to figure out an idea and every single time we wait until the last minute…So enjoy our silly little tradition!
