Christine + Michael – Rancho Bernardo Inn Wedding

Christine and Mike had a gorgeous Rancho Bernardo Inn Wedding. It was the only day of rain in the whole month of May and they were hoping against all hope that the weather would change its course. Christine was watching her phone closely hoping for good news and lucky for her, the weather cleared up for just their ceremony and photo time! They were so excited and it made the getting ready time fun and upbeat. Everyone was so relieved that they’d be able to have their ceremony in the beautiful outside garden area. Christine and Mike shared gifts and cards with each other and we loved Christine and her dad seeing each other for the first time.

It was really fun filming this wedding because Christine and her two sisters are all getting married this year! Her brother in law to be officiated the ceremony and it was just really neat to see how close their family is. Their ceremony was beautiful and we loved their personal vows. It was a little tricky getting the unity candle to light with the weather but it was a small price to pay for the beautiful ceremony they dreamed of.

The reception was decorated beautifully and we loved all the details. The centerpieces were gorgeous and the dessert table looked yummy. The table assignments on the glass were so pretty. The guests had a lot of fun in the photobooth and at cocktail hour. The party got started and everyone had a wonderful time. Everyone gave really sweet toasts and Christine’s mom brought out fun masks for everyone to wear during the dance time. We hope you enjoy this beautiful wedding!

Adriana + Shawn – Museum of Ventura County

Adriana and Shawn had a beautiful wedding at the Museum of Ventura County. Adriana and her girls got ready at Adriana’s office where she does skin care. They had fun doing exercises and stretches while everyone was getting their hair and makeup done. They also had tequila shots with a toast once everyone was ready. I couldn’t believe how relaxed and chill everyone was!

Shawn and his guys had a great time getting ready as well. He opened a gift from Adriana which was a beautiful handmade crane. They were also super relaxed and excited to start the day.

The two didn’t do a first look so we headed straight to the ceremony. We loved the way they decorated the ceremony. They had a tree covered in paper cranes to honor Shawn’s heritage and they had papel picado to celebrate Adriana’s. It was so incredibly beautiful. We’ve never been to the Museum of Ventura County so it was neat to wander around a bit and see the property.

The ceremony was lovely with a well spoken officiant and friend, readers and personal vows. After the ceremony, they did photos and cocktail hour. There was a video “robot” with guests in Hawaii who couldn’t make it. The cocktail hour area was so cool and everyone had a great time. At the reception, Shawn’s mom did a lovely Hawaiian dancing performance. They had sweet speeches and awesome dancing!

The guests all received mugs from Mexico filled with all sorts of goodies and of course everyone enjoyed the pinata at the end of the night. Shawn did “the worm” on the dance floor and Adriana changed into a beautiful silver dress for the after party. All the guests enjoyed a photobooth and an ice cream and cookie bar, yum!

Hope you enjoy!

Chandra + Josh – Escondido Wedding

Wow, what a fabulous event this was! We filmed this Escondido wedding at a private home and it was just fantastic. Chandra and Josh wanted to have a very different, non traditional wedding full of meaning and heart. They completely pulled that off. They only invited their closest family and friends and it was so intimate and sweet. I first met Chandra back in high school. I remember her being so cool, she was in a band!! She was a very talented singer and still is today. We reconnected through a mutual friend and I got to see her perform a couple times as Glinda in the musical Wicked! I even got a little tour back stage. That was pretty awesome. Fast forward to last year and she got engaged to the love of her life and wanted us to be there to capture her big day.

The day started with the guys and girls each getting ready. Everyone was so laid back and relaxed, they were having fun and just being in the moment. In fact, they had an unplugged wedding so everyone could really be in the moment with them. Her dress was so cool and I can honestly say it’s the first time I’ve seen one like that. I love that Chandra left Josh a Larabar, “just in case”, so sweet.

They didn’t see each other before the ceremony and it made her entrance so fun. They didn’t do a traditional processional, she just walked in and the ceremony started. The officiants did an incredible job describing the two and their love for one another. And their EPIC vows really said it all. All night we heard guests raving about how great their vows were. They really spent time crafting those sweet words to each other.

While they went off to sign documents and have a few photos, the guests enjoyed cocktails and snacks. The reception was also very non traditional with everyone sitting at one banquet table enjoying dinner together. They had a couple toasts, a first dance and cake cutting but the rest of the night was just mingling with desserts by the pool, frogs croaking in the background. The night was perfect in the cool Escondido air and everyone had a wonderful time. Hope you enjoy!!

Kristi + Brandon – Temecula Wedding

Kristi and Brandon had a beautiful Temecula wedding at the Villa de Amore. Their wedding was on April Fool’s Day but there was only one joke all day and everything else was just love love love. They decided against a first look but instead did a gift exchange behind a door. It was really cute and a nice idea if you can’t decide on a first look. They got to chat with each other, calm the nerves and give each other sweet gifts. But he still was able to see his bride for the first time while she was walking down the aisle!

The guys and ladies each had some sweet moments together while they were getting ready. Kristi’s dad officiated the ceremony and had a nice moment with each group praying for them. Kristi had 5 little nieces running around who were so adorable! After they were finished getting ready and finished with their exchange, they all headed out to the ceremony. The verses about love all down the aisle were super neat and they had all their guests signing a wine bottle or box.

They had a sweet ceremony with touching vows. It was a nice day with beautiful weather as well! After the ceremony, the couple took beautiful photos all around the property. Their guests enjoyed cocktails and refreshments, bocce ball and corn hole. They had an awesome grand entrance with the one and only April fool’s joke. Kristi’s sister was pregnant and so they pretended she went into early labor! But then at the last minute she emerged for her entrance.

Brandon and Kristi had their first dance and their friends gave lovely toasts. After dinner they had a S’mores bar, cocktails, dancing and late night tacos. They all had an awesome time dancing in the perfect springtime evening.  It was a great Temecula wedding.

Congratulations you two on an awesome wedding!

Heidi + Jimmy – Green Gables Wedding Estate

Heidi and Jimmy declared their vows at the beautiful Green Gables Wedding Estate in San Marcos. They totally lucked out having a beautifully sunny wedding day during our unusually wet San Diego winter! And the weather wasn’t even that cold for January. The guys were at the venue first. They spent a chunk of time working on the coffee for everyone. French press coffee, that is. Heidi and Jimmy are coffee connoisseurs and wanted to make sure their guests had only the best. Jimmy also set up a bunch of bubble machines for the ceremony.

Heidi and her bridesmaids arrived a little later. They helped Heidi and Jimmy exchange gifts and notes. Jimmy made a bunch of memory books for Heidi and she bought him a new travel bag. They had a great time hanging out with their friends and getting ready. Heidi was just adorable and you could just see the joy and excitement in her face!

The ceremony was so awesome because they didn’t see each other ahead of time. Jimmy’s face was just the best when he finally got to see his bride walk down the aisle. One of Jimmy’s mentors officiated the ceremony and had some great advice and their personal vows were endearing. They had a bubble recessional at the end of the ceremony and had some photo time while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour.

The reception was decorated in books and leaf garland. The guests enjoyed their delicious coffee. After many of the reception events they also enjoyed cupcakes, ice cream and carne asada fries for late night treats. There were very sweet toasts and endless dancing. These two had a magical wedding and we hope you enjoy watching!

From the couple:

We got the video in the mail. We are dying…Dying because it’s so AMAZING and we can’t figure out how to recommend you guys to more people without blowing up the internet!!! Thank you guys for doing SUCH SUCH SUCH an awesome job.

Whitney + Alan – Villa De Amore Temecula

Whitney and Alan had a beautiful November wedding at Villa De Amore Temecula. That venue is just perfect for weddings. They have so many beautiful spots for photos and they just know weddings. Whitney and Alan had so many fun details at this wedding. First they gave each other the sweetest gifts during the getting ready time. Alan gave Whitney a super soft and huge blanket with details from their whole relationship printed on it. She loved it and it was just so thoughtful. Whitney gave Alan a personalized humidor for his cigars which he also loved. The wedding party all had a great time and the flower girl was just so adorable!

They didn’t see each other before the ceremony and so it was so fun to watch Alan as she came down the aisle. Another detail that was really neat was the love lock on a picture frame. During the ceremony they locked it together. The officiant performed a wonderful ceremony with very encouraging words. He even included some funny things like signs from their favorite sports teams.

After the ceremony the guests enjoyed cocktail hour both inside and outside. Inside there were cute photos of the couple. In the reception area there were the most fabulous donuts for all the guests to enjoy. The other decor was beautiful and just great. Later, after photo time and cocktail hour, all the guests came inside for the reception activities.

They had a grand entrance and first dance and then the guests enjoyed dinner. There was a photo booth and a cigar roller! So many of the guests enjoyed that. One of the other fun things was when Whitney asked us to film a #mannequinchallenge for them. It was so fun since we haven’t had a couple ask for that before. This was our last wedding of 2016 and it was such a great way to end the year. Congratulations you two!

Hope you enjoy!
